The MOTHER 1+2 Starman SMAAAASH!! T-Shirt was released in Japan in 2003 for 5,040 yen by The King of Games. It was a collaborative effort between Shigesato Itoi (the creator of the MOTHER series) and The King of Games, a Japanese t-shirt company that is licensed to make official Nintendo apparel.

The shirt was available to buy on The King of Games online website (see links below).

Item details

The front of the shirt features a sprite of a Starman, one of the recurring enemies from MOTHER and MOTHER 2. It’s meant to look like you’re having a battle against the Starman, since “Auto” is written in the corner and “SMAAAAASH!!” text is right above it. The back of the shirt shows the earth sprite that was used in the MOTHER title screen.

The images and text are displayed in a pinkish purple ink and accented with a silver ink. A special limited edition version of this shirt was also made featuring a different color variation.
