The MOTHER 1+2 Eraser is a capsule toy that was released in Japan in 2005. It’s part of a series of novelty erasers that are shaped like Game Boy Advance cartridges. Each eraser features the sticker for a different game on it and they come in a tiny little box that looks just like the real Game Boy Advance box for that particular game.
The Game Boy Advance erasers were available inside capsule machines for a limited time across Japan in 2005. To get one, you had to insert your money into the machine, turn the dial, and then out popped a plastic capsule that held the toy. You didn’t get to pick which one you got, since the machine does the deciding for you.
A popular, but now defunct, online importer called Lik-Sang.com had these GBA erasers on their website so that international fans could easily buy a few. They randomly chose which eraser you got, so you weren’t able to specify which one you wanted.
The MOTHER 1+2 eraser is shaped just like a Game Boy Advance cartridge. It’s known to come in three colors: white, pink, and light blue. The sticker featured on the front of the eraser is the same as the one that’s on the real cartridge. The box is a miniature version of the real MOTHER 1+2 game box.
