Mad Catz Releases a Limited Edition Wiimote Charger Featuring Sonic

With all the hoopla surrounding Super Mario’s 25th anniversary, let’s not forget that Sonic’s 20th anniversary is right around the corner. To celebrate the blue hedgehog’s premiere, Mad Catz has created a neat little accessory for all you Wii owners.

Pictured above is the new Sonic the Hedgehog Figure 2X Inductive Charger for Wii. This accessory will let you charge the batteries in your Wii remote without having to plug them into anything – just sit them atop the Green Hill Zone base and walk away. The Sonic figure is six inches tall, so it makes a nice collectible for die hard fans.

This is an officially licensed limited edition release and each charger is individually numbered. Mad Catz began shipping the chargers last week; you can find it at a few online stores right now:
